ITALIAN BUII.DINGB SACKED AND SET ON FIRE. (Received May SI, 1.15 a.m.) Rome, May 29. The Austrian authorities at Trieste have fled, leaving the ity to the mercy of the mob. The mob sacked and fired Italian buildings, commencing with the offices of the Irredentist newspaper, Piccolo. The staff barely escaped with their lives. Afterwards ferocious vandalism was general. Enormous destruction took place with the connivance of the gendarmes. The newspapers describe the manifestation of Austrian fury at Trieste as an exact repetition of the excesses against the Servians at Serajevo after the murder n( the Archduke Frederick.
