NORTHCOTE RATEPAYERS.
A oekeuat, meeting of tho Nortlicote Ratepayers' Association was held on Saturday, Mr. D. A. Gray, president, king in the chair. Messrs. D, A. Gray, Alfred Taylor, Mark Parrish, A. Parrisn, , and W. C. Smith were appointed to work with the council in connection with any scheme for tree-planting, etc. It was decided to approach the Birkenhead and Northcote Recreation Reserve Board with a view to ascertaining if the association! could bo of service in assisting the initiation of work in Little Shoal Bay in order to free a portion of it from water, and 60 hasten the provision of a sports "round for the joint districts. Mr. K. C. Brown was appointed secretary pro tem, • Mr. H. Marchant having tendered his resignation.
