GERMAN, GOODS OFFERED.
[bt TELEGRAPH.— coeref.pokdem.]
WlLLixoToy, Friday. Addressing the Wellington Chamber of Commerce to-day Mr. A. R. Sennet'., the organiser of the Board of Trade movement, declared that a great d<?a! of trading with the enemy was still going on, and goods manufactured in Germany "ere being freely bjught and sold here. This was proved by merchants whose loyalty led them to refuse to trade in such gojOs, which were openly offered to them, and which were also 6old openly by certain retailers. This sort of thing, he said, could only be suppressed by proper organisation. Such an organisation could be obtained with a Board of Trade, but he urged that the chambers in the four cities should act at once and set up special committees for tie pin-pose oi dealing with these traitorous traders. He hoped that the Board of Trade irould be set up, and he hoped it would yet be a link, in an Imperial chain of such xbambers with headquarters in London, By means of such an organisation the. trade and industry of the, Empire could be directed aad developed.
