At a mooting of tho committee of the Rotortia Rugby Union, held on Monday night, the Kahukura Club, which had won tho Davis Cup outright, preseutod tho trophy to the union for further competition, and also donated a set of representative jerseys which had been given to the club as the winners of the Rotorua, Hotel Syndicate's competition last season. Tho gifts were accented, and a vote of thanks was passed to the Knhtikura Club. It was decided that the competition now in progress should constitute a. one-round contest for the Davis Cup; that it bo followed by a two-round competition for the Mnihand Memorial Shield, to lxi followed in turn by a two-round competition for the Goyscrland Challengo Shield, which is to carry with it the championship ot the Rotorua Rugby Union. OTOROHANGA CLUB. There was a good attendance at the annual meting of the Otorohanga Rugby Football Club, Mr. W- IT. Clark© presiding. Tho annual report expressed* deep regret at the death of Mr. W. Swainson. Eleven of the club's best players and supporters had volunteered for the front, which would probably affect the play during tho coming season. In this connection it was resolved, on the secretary's motion, to elect all who had enlisted life mombors of tho club, and to have printed and sent to each a card from the club expressing wishes for ft safe return. The financial position of the club was shown to bo gratifying. The year's receipts, with £14 14s 3d cash in hand, were £58 153 3d. and the expenses wore £43 10s 9d, leaving a balance of £15 -is Gd in hand. Tho players' accident insurance fund had not been drawn upon, and £15 3s now stands to credit. Members were specially urged to keep themselves financial on tho insurance list.
