SUDDEN GERMAN COLLAPSE
THE COST OF PIRACY.
Fremantle, May 12.
Bishop Sadlier, of Nelson, New Zealand, who is a passenger by the Osterley, states that many prominent men at Home thought the war would end suddenly, owing to the economic collapse of Germany, but it would be necessary to see.that such collapse was not a German subterfuge.
Referring to the submarines, the bishop said that Germany lost many more tha'i was generally known, owing to secret British preventive measures. -
