PROPOSED FERRY SERVICE.
GISBORNE TO NAPIER,

Gisborne, Wednesday. A movement for the establishment of a locally-owned ferry service has been taken up by a number of Gisborno gentlemen. The capital proposed for the new company is from £30,000 to £40,000, and the object of the venture is to run a steamer between Gisborne and Napier in a contiguous ferry service.
