MANY SOLDIERS PRESENT.

(Received May 12. 1.40 am )

London, May 11.

A memorial rorvice to Canadians killed in action was held at St, Paul's Cathedral. The building was crowded. Amongst those present were Mr. Kipling, Mr. Bonar Law, Mr. Harcourt, Lord Lansdowne, and many soldiers in khaki, a considerable proportion being wounded.' The Dead March in Saul was played, and the bugles sounded the Last Post. The Canadian National Anthem was played. There was a thrilling moment when the Bishop of London quoted passages from an officer's account of the battle of Ypres.
