DEVONPORT BOROUGH.

Tub first meeting of the new Devonport Borough Council was held last night. Tlieie were present ; The Mayor, Mr. A. M. Pickford, Messrs. J. Henderson, P. W. McCfllliim, J. Woodall, 'c. J. Smith, T. Lamont, !•'. 1.. Aimitage, and \V. K. Uowitt.

At the request of the supervisor of the Devonport Technical School, it was agreed that a lamp should be erected on the nathwav leading up to the school on Mount Victoria.
