MODERATE LEAGUE.

PROPOSED DEPUTATION.

ROYAL COMMISSION ASKED FOR,

Try telegraph.— PßESS ASSOCIATION'.]

Wellington, Tuesday. The president of the New Zealand Moderate League stated, at a farewell function tendered to Mr. W. E. Pearson by his fellow members of the central executive yesterday, that the league would send a deputation to the Government as soon as arrangements could be made. They would ask that the whole of their suggestions should be carried into effect, and in order that the matter might receive the most careful investigation, would urge the immediate setting up of an impartial Royal Commission of inquiry.
