The Minister for Defence, the Hon. Jam's Allen, told a renter to-day that he had received many applications, and hoped he would still continue to receive them, from mechanics anxious to go Home. He had cabled to the Home authorities twice, asking if they would accept the services of these men, hut was still awaiting a reply
