FIRE AT MOUNT ALBERT.

DWELLING HOUSE DESTROYED

A five-roomed house at the corner of Coyle Street and Edendale Road, Mount Albert, was destroyed by fire shortly after midnight last night. The building, which was occupied by Mr. White and his family, was the property of Mr. Matthews. Although the Mount Albert Eire Brigade was quickly on the scene, little could be clone, as the fire had a very strong hold. The house was gutted, and all the contents were lost. Both the house and the furniture are understood to be insured. The origin of the fire is unknown.
