The match play handicap was continued tt Middlemorc on Saturday, when Lusk beat 8. Upton 5 up and 4 to play, R. O. Gardner beat J. Sharland 1 and 1, Bnrnford bent Burns 4 and 3, and S. Colbeck and Ralph finished all square.

The first competition lor a. series of medals presented by the president, Mr. R. 1,. Somers, took place at the Te Aroha jjolf links on Saturday. The following are tho highest tcores:--Mrs. Paterson, 79, handicap 30, score 49: Miss Forrest, 79—30—49; Mrs. Greening. 306-30—76: Miss Fitzgerald, 75—20—55; Miss Burton, fii—3o-52. Men: R. 8. Hnniia, 119— 24-95; J. Kenny. 112—12—100; H.G.Foster, 131—26-105: A. J. Burrows. 135—24—111; F. Bliss, 145—30—115: W. Brodic, 160—40—120 W. H. Edgell, 159—34—125. Mr. n. S. Hanna Von the medal in the men's section, he registering an excellent card. Mrs Paterson and Miss Forrest tied in the ladies' section. This will be decided next week.
