TUB tries lor the Auckland Public Schools' Eugby Union"* competitions will close with hon. secretary. Mr. B. W. Hayson. Bayfield school, to-morrow. Players must not be more than IS years of age on May 1. 1915, and must not exceed Bst in weight in football costume. The official weighing-in of intending players over 7st in weight, will tike place at -he Normal School on Thursday and Friday next, between 4 and 5 pin, and on Saturday between 8 a.m. and 12 noon- The season will open on May '22. .HAMILTON RUGBY UNION. At a meeting of the Hamilton Rugby Union it was reported that City. Franlcton and St. Mary's Clubs had entered teams for the first, second and third grade, and Hamilton High School in the third grade. It was agreed to open the competitions on May 22.' and to play a seven-a-side tourney on May 15. In view .of the union's finances it was agreed to request the donors of two fire-pound trophies to present the caps for the- competitions in lieu of the trophies. Delegates were instructed to obtain the names of the members of their respective clubs who have gone to the front.
MATCHES AT WAIHI. [BT TELEGBAPH.—OWN CORRESPOXDSXr ] Waihi, Monday. In the district football competition on Saturday the City and Waitete senior teams played a drawn game, each side scoring 9 points. In the junior divisions City defeated Waitete by 17 points to 11- In the schools' competitions the South School team beat East School by 8 points to 0.
