CONTINGENTS FOR THE WAR.

Sipket, May 8. Tee Premiers* Conference has. resolved to ask the Commonwealth Government to take over, the minting of gold'coin. Each Stateis to be asked te take steps to. establish, uniformity of land valuations. It was decided to urge the States to support the collection of £75,000 a month towards the Belgian Fund. The State Premiers discussed, with Mr. A. Fisher, Federal Prime Minister, lii : camera, proposals for assisting in the for* matron of Australian contingents. SYDNEY'S OHY RAILWAY SCHEME.
