MR. MASSEY'S APPEAL.

Melbourne. May 9. The Australian Minister for Defence, Senator G. F. Pearce, in reply to a question regarding Mr. Massey's appeal to the young men of New Zealand to register for service when required, said that he thought there was no occasion to establish a similar register in Australia. The question put to Senator Peace has reference to a portion of Iho Sp'Wch delivered by Mr. Massey at Uforohanga . on Wednesday last.
