Melbourne, May 7. Details of the capture on April 23 of the schooner Elfreda show that she was returning from . a tradingtrip among the islands when she was seized at Tonga by the Encounter. The British flag, was hoisted, and a prize crew was placed aboard. The schooner was sent to Suva to be dealt with by a Prize Court. The Elfreda belonged to a German firm with large trading interests in the group, was registered in Tonga, and i flew the Tongan flag.
