A i.i.vk to thank you for the papers which arrived thin evening, writes a seaman on H.M-S. Tiger to a London newspaper. Thev were very welcome, and 1 have spout a muplc of very interesting hours with them. As we hold practically no communication with the shore, papers are a real tie.it. ami we can appreciate the kindly thoughts that prompt the people who send them. We manage to get a good deal of quiet fun out of life. We have a marine band on hoard. Tonight wo hud .1 pleasant mimical evening. Usually we have a rough-and-ready coni pit. ana have a number of very good singer?. Our concert usually consists of about a dozen turns. Kvery free evening then- are .i number of men darning.
