BRITISH TROOPS DROWNED IN AEGEAN SEA.

MEMBERS OF ROYAL FIELD ARTILLERY. Wellington, April 22. The High Commissioner reports from London on April 21: "The men of the troopship Manitou who were drowned in the jEgean Sea through the capsizing of boats during an attack by a Turkish torpedo boat belonged to the Royal Field Artillery. Twenty-four men were drowned, and it is feared that 25 who are missing were also drowned."
