Good dish prospects have also been obtained. POLICE COURT NEWS. 1 o MINOR CASES DEALT WITH. A short sitting of the Police Court was presided over by Mr. F. V. Prazer, S.M., I on Saturday morning, I Mary Jane Davidson, who said that since her last appearance hi Court, she | had been married and was living a lespecj table life, was charged with soliciting. She was convicted and ordered to come .lip for sentence when called on, pour first .offenders, charged with drunkenness, were fined 5.s each, while another first offender forfeited her bail, amounting to 10?. George Cock pleaded guilty to charges of drunkenness and of breaking the terms of his prohibition order. Scnjor-Scrger.nt Rutledee stated that the man was found on Friday night under Queen's Wharf, hanging on to a stringer and screaming J loudly. A fine of £2, in defr.ult seven days' imprisonment, was imposed. A middle-aged man, named John Owens, who committed a nuisance while drunk, was fined £2, in default seven days' imprisonment.
