FIRES IN WELLINGTON.
[by telegraph.—press ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Tuesday. The Presbyterian Church at Island Bay was burned down this evening. The origin of the outbreak is unknown. The insurances total £380. A two-storeyed house of 10 rooms', on Thorndon Quay, owned by Mrs. E. M. Clupcott, and occupied by Mrs. Dora Munn as a boardinghouse, was gutted by fire at a late hour. The insurances are not known.
