DEADLY FRENCH GUNS.

ENEMY DEMORALISED.

SWEPT FROM POSITION. Paris, April 4. The French " Eye-witness," describing the action at Hartmannsweiler Kopp, in Alsace, says: "Our artillery swept the German position on the summit for four hours without ceasing and with appalling accuracy. " The bodies of the Germans were hurled from the trenches and trees were mown down. The shells made large craters in the ground. Chaos reigned, and we could hear the cries of agony of the wounded. Our fire wrecked the German shelters and exploded the ammunition stores. The enemy fled demoralised."
