ONEHUNGA'S RATING.
UNIMPROVED VALUES. "i ADOPTION BY RATEPAYERS. RESULT OF THE POLL. A poll of ratepayers was taken at Onehunga yesterday on a proposal to change tho system of rating from the capital and annual value to the unimproved valuci and it resulted in the proposal being carried by 563 votes to 391. There are 1620 ratepayers' names on the roll and 960 recorded their votes, 6 of which were declared informal. The poll closed at seven o'clock and Mr. S. J. Brooklield, the chief returning officer, announced the result an hour later. It was received with cheers by tho large crowd which had assembled ami addresses were given by Messrs. ,L. Dillicar and A.
