The Westralia sails on the return voyage at 2 p.m. to morrow. A cablegram from Sydney reports the arrival at that port of the barquentine Wanganui from Haveiock. The vessel occupied 31 days on the passage. The Union Company is advised that the turbine steamer Maheno left Sydney at noon , on Wednesday for Auckland direct. She is bringing 97 saloon and steerage passengers and several hundred tons of cargo for New ' Zealand. Tho Maheno is due hero on Sunday ! morning.

SOMERSET REPORTED. The Federal-Shire liner Somerset, which loaded in New Zealand under the auspices of the New Zealand Shipping Company, has, according to a Press Association message, arrived at Monte Video from Wellington. The Somerset left the Southern port on January 23 for London. MATATUA DUE ON SUNDAY. A wireless message received yesterday by the local agents for the Shaw, Savili. and Albion Company from the captain of the steamer Matatua stated that the vessel will arrive off the harbour entrance on Sunday morning from London, via Capetown. A3 the vessel has 245 tons of explosives on board, she will be piloted to the powder anchorage off Motuihi Island to discharge. She will afterwards come into port to put out several thousand tons of general chandiseLORD ERNE COMING. Messrs. A. H. Nathan. Ltd . local agents for the American and Australian Line, have received cable advice to the effect that the steamer Lord Erne was to have left Sydney yesterday for Auckland. The vessel should, therefore, arrive here on Monday next. She will load a quantity of cargo at this port for Boston and New York, and will be despatched about Tuesday next via the Panama Canal route.
