ENTERTAINMENTS.

HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE. 7%erb -was a fair audience at His Majesty's Theatre last night to witness the final performance by the George Yvilloughby Dramatic Company of " The Ever-open Door," by George R. Sims and H. li. Herbert. The Auckland season of this company ■will close with three performances of " Camille," by Alexandre Dumas, commencing to-night. Miss Vera Kemee will again be called to play an exacting part as " Camille/' and Mr. 1 »eore? Cross will appear as Armand Duval. There will be no early door charges for this production.

THE CHERNIAVSKYS. The second concert of the Cherniavskys •>\ill take place in tho Town Hall to-night. The young Russians created a great irapr>ssion on Tuesday evening, when they attracted a large audience. The booking for to-nicrht is excellent. The plains for 1 ho last two concerts opened yesterday at Wildman and Arey's. To-night I/eo Cherniavaky will play Mendelssohn's Violin. ■''oncerto. Cello solos by Saint-Saens, '' iffenKat h. and Popper will lie presented by Mis. Cheniiav?ky and Jan Cherniavsky. Tae pianist will play solos by Rachmaninoff, Stavenhagen. and Liszt. Several new trios will also be presented.

OPERA HOUSE. Th<—» were packed audiences at the afternoon and. evening performances at the Opera House yesterday, when Miss Rose Leo Ivy again demonstrated her powers as a. vivacious comedienne. Undoubtedly she is a clever artist, and invests her " turn - ' with a personality all her own. The Handeil Jackson Company were .a$ popular as ever.

PICTURE ENTERTAINMENTS. The bi-weekly change of programme at the Glob:, Theatre will be made to-day, and includes " The Grip of the Past/' a sti-nng drama containing a succession of remarkable incidents. " Shot in the Excitement" is a, comedy by a wellknown, firm. Business at the Grand Theatre has been verv good this week by reason of the attraction " Reader of Minds," a drama full of dramatic situations of a startling .inscription. "Doily of the Dailies,' featuring Mary Fuller, is also proving a draw. Tho chief attraction on the new protrranuiio to be presented at the Princess Theatre to-day is " The Fortune Hunter," a thrilling drama 3300 ft in length. " Bill Bailey Dons the Gloves' 1 is described as "the funniest picture ever shown." " His Musical Career," in which the comedian Charles Chaplin plays the leading role, is drawing large audiences to the Kings Theatre this week. "The Redemption cf David Corsen" is an exciting drama. " .Arizona." a Dhoto-R?ay which takes up tho entire programme, has proved immensely popular at the Alhambra and Arcade Theatres this week. This interesting drama has a Western rural setting, and is in six parts. It is an exciting story and one which cannot fail to appeal to picture patrons. " The Motor Buccaneers," an exciting drama in two parts., is advertised as the premier picture in the new programme to be screened to-day at the Queen's Theatre- The Warwick Chronicle depicts some interesting war scenes. " The Deserter," a long and exciting drama dealing with military life, ia advertised as the chief attraction at the King George Theatre for the remainder of the«*-.:2k. There should be good attendances at each session. The .Lyric and West End Theatres are featuring "A Califojnian. Round-up" this week.
