BUSINESS DONE YESTERDAY.
Not a great deal of business was done on the sharemarket yesterday. In standard stocks there was keen demand for New Zealand Insurances at £6 and £6 Is and for South British Insurances at 90s, but in neither case did sellers come forward. Waihi mining shares were done at 40s and 40s 3d. more being available at 40s 6d. Talismans were don© at 28s. Sellers of Waihi Grand Junctions asked 24& 6d, and buyers were prepared to give 245.
