FIRMNESS OF BOTHA.

Bloemfoxtein, January 30. At the trial of the rebel leaders. Brand and Wessels, it was revealed that Wessels waited upon General Botha and demanded his resignation. General Botha declared that he would not resign, and that he was determined to suppress the rebellion. Subsequently Wessels induced 500 Boers in the Bethlehem district to join in the rebellion.
