MB. A. FISHER'S TOUR
RECIPROCAL RELATIONS.
"THE WAY TO PROGRESS."
[BY TKL>X.iIAIH OWN CORRESPONDENT.]
■Wellington, Thursday. Ix an interview' to-day concerning the questions that lie has been discussing with the. New Zealand Government the Right Hon. Andrew Fisher, Prime Minister of
| Australia, said that all the proposals would have to remain in abeyance in the' > meantime. " But I think progress has | been made." ho added, "and I think that i whatever the" political fortunes of New i Zealand may be something will be i achieved. There seems to be no difference ' between your parties on the matters j which we have discussed, and I I think they are both agreed that the way to reciprocity is the way to progress. I hope that you will send over delegations to us ; we want to get closer together, and I think that even New Zeslanders may learn somethin" in Australia if they find it convenient* to visit Us as circumstances permit. When I go back I shall have something kindly I to say about New Zealandits beauties and its suitability for holiday-making. Just now it is unfortunately a "fact that you hear nothing about Australia and we hear nothing about what is going on here."
