COPPER FOR INDIA.
SUPPLIES FROM AUSTRALIA-
London, January 27.
The Marquis of Crewe, Secretary of State for India, has informed Sir George Reid, Commonwealth High Commissioner, that India is unable to promise the other Dominions preferential treatment in the purchase of copper for Indian ordnance manufacture, but already he had purchased from Australian sources, and would be glad to do so again in 1915. Broken Hill has been requested to tender for the supply of lead.
