MERCER REGATTA
The Mercer Rowing Club will hold a regatta on the Waikato River to-day. when events for rowing men and Maoris will be decided Large entries have been received for practically all events, and besides keen competition in the rowing races, the spectators ian confidently look tor plenty of fun from the native aquatic events The latter part of the programme includes a number of canoe hurdle races for both women and men. Fast excursion trains will convey city people to Mercer at reduced fares
