SS *% o» §2 Mr. W. W. Spink, of the firm of Spink and Miller, Ltd., SS SS left Te Pohui (which is 28 miles from Napier) at 8.30 on 52 25 Sunday morning last in one of their new 20-h.p. extra strong S2 SS Colonial Napier cars, en route for Auckland. He only SS 52 stopped twice during the trip, once at Taupo for lunch, SS SS taking one hour, and at Putaruru for tea, arriving at his o2 25 residence at Ellerslie at 2.15 a.m. on Monday morning. The, SS SS total distance travelled by Mr. Spink was 302 miles. The SS 52 benzine consumption was 16 gallons, approximately 20 miles 52 SS per gallon. The total time occupied on the trip was 17J SS \ SS hours, the travelling time being 15j hours. This easily con- 2S I 2o stitutes a record.
