ZEPPELIN DESTROYED.
BROUGHT DOWN AT LIBAU.
CREW TAKEN PRISONERS.
Wellington. January 27
The Prime Minister has received the following cable from the High Commissioner in London, dated January 27 :— "Petrograd reports that on Monday a Zeppelin appeared above Libau. and managed to drop bombs on the undefended part of the town, but after being fired at by the guns of the forts it, fell into the water. Small craft destroyed the Zeppelin and the crew were taken prisoners."
Lilian is a Russian navaj base on the Baltic. Recently, it wa.-. bombarded by Herman warships, considerable damage being done.
