The following message from the High Commissioner in London, dated January 21, has been received by the Prime Minister: —

Pctrograd reports state that north of Rawa two attacks by the enemy were checked by Russian artillery, the Germans being compelled to fall back.

A Gorman offensive movement at a bridgehead at Xitkuvitze was repelled.

In Western Galicia the enemy, having heavily bombarded the Russian position south of Radlow, fired two villages- A compact force reached the Russian wire entanglements, where a withering fire met them, and they suffered great losses and had to fall back. .

The Russians have successfully advanced in the Austrian province of Bukovina, and have occupied the village of Joahannedchti, taking several prisoners.
