MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
BREACH OF AWARDS.
JUDGMENT SUMMONS CASES,
A charge of a breach of the Northern. District Bakers and Pastrycooks* Award came before Mr. E. C. Cut-ten, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court yesterday. The inspector of awards, Mr. J. Hollows, proceeded against F. H. Lambert (Mr. R. Moody) for employing, during the period from November 2 to December 21 last year, R. F. Young as foreman baker and paying wages 5s less than the award provided. A charge was also brought against the employee concerned.
A conviction was recorded. Lambert being fined £2 'and Young 10s.
In the following judgment summons cases there was no appearance of the debtors, and payment was ordered forthwith, in default various terms of imprisonment, subject to the usual fortnight's suspension of warrants:—lsaiah Fellowes (Mr. B. P. Cahill) v. H. \V. Hill man, Parnell. driver, £6 10s 6d; Stephen Perrin (Mr. G. W. D. Mulgan) v. J. R. Taylor, jun.. clerk, Auckland, £12 19s Id; Wilson and Horton v. W. P. Levy, land agent, £17 18s 7d; A. E. Gifford (Mr. Mulgan) v. J. R. Taylor, jun., clerk, Auckland, £9 13s; Drapery and General Importing Company (Mr. Mulgan) v. RH. Nelson, £3 9s 3d; Harry Grinlinton v. S. Neville, Henderson, £3 lis.
