In the matter of " The Municipal Corporations Act. • 1908," and Amendments, " The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913." and Amendments, and Regulations made thereunder respectively, the Body Corporate of the Mayor. Councillors and Burgesses of the Borough of Mount Eden, known as .the Mount Eden Borough Council, hereby gives notice in terms of "The Local Bodies' Loans Act. 1913." and Amendments, and the Regu- , lations made thereunder, that the Mount Eden Borough Council propose to engage in the following undertakings, and being unable to provide the necessary funds for such works out of the ordinary revenues of the Mount Eden Borough Council, propose to raise a Special Loan of £135.000 for the respective purposes following, viz.: — 1. (a) For the construction of permanent drainaje works within the Borough, the sum of £115,000. (bl For provision of additional water mains, and the improvement of the existing waterworks system within the Borough, the sum of £10.000. (c) For the completion of the construction of the roads and streets within the Borough (including roads and streets not provided for in previous loans), the sum of £10,000. 2. For the purpose of securing the repayment of the said Special Loan of £135,000. a Special Annually Recurring Rate of One Shilling and Fourpence in the £ will be made rind levied on the annual value of all Ratable Property in the Borough. 3- In addition to such Special Rate there is proposed as security for the repayment of such loan the whole of the revenues of the Borough of Mount Eden (other and excepting the revenues derived from Special Rates levied for special purposes and undertakings), subject to the existing loans chargeable on such, revenues. 4 It is proposed to make such loan repayable in 36i years, at a rate of interest not exceeding Five Pounds per cent, per annum, payable half-yearly, together with a sinking fund of 1 per cent- per annum. 5. It is proposed to pay out of the loan moneys . the preliminary expenses incurred in connection with the scheme for which the loan is proposed, and the cost of raising tho loan and the first year's interest and sinking fund of the loan during the construction of the works for which the loan is proposed to be raised. Water Consumers, drawing or using any water supplied by the Council, through any hose or movable pipe, are notified that owing to the continued drought the Auckland City Council doth hereby Cancel and Revoke all Permits for such hose supplies. Any person found using the water supply for gardens, lawne, etc., after this notice ' will be prosecuted, as it is imperative that the water available be conserved for domestic purposes. HENRY W.
