Cocoa and cocoanut plantations were seriously damaged. The. Tofua arrived at Levuka from Samoa at daylight-. The master" reports meeting a hurricane when 240 miles north of Levnka on Monday morning. The. barometer went down to 29.18. The wind varied from N.N.E. to S.E. This indicated that the disturbance was travelling to the eastward.
