The Rubber Club of America announces a grave situation in the industry owing to the British embargo on the exportation of crude rubber from Britain. It is stated that it is anticipated that 125,000 will be thrown out of work in the United States unless the embargo is lifted. An advance in price is expected. Europe has already bought £100,000,000 sterling s worth for war supplies from the United States.
