BATTLEFIELD GHOULS. BRITISH SOLDIER MUTILATED. [by telegraph:. OWN CORRESPONDENT.] CnaiSTCHtrRCH, Wednesday. An Ashburton resident has forwarded an extract from a letter received from a relative in England, in which he tells of a resident there who had gone to the territorial hospital in Salisbury Road, in Plymouth to see his brother, who had been wounded when fighting in France. " The man's whole head and face were swathed in bandages, and what do you think he found? That, in addition to having been wounded, those vile Germans had gouged out both his eyes, and cut off both his ears. Just think of it! The brother was so maddened that he swore he would at once go off and enlist, so as to be able to revenge himself on them."
