SUPPLIES FOR NEUTRALS.
BRITAIN ACCOMMODATING. NO HIGH-HANDED ACTION. (Received November 17, 9.30 p.m.) London, November 16. Mr. Asquith, in the House of Commons, said that while supplies were withheld from the enemy, itwas not necessary to act in a highhanded manner towards neutral countries. Larger supplies of coal were going to Scandinavia because the German supplies had stopped. GERMANS IN AUSTRALIA. BETTER AT WORK. Melbourne, November 17. The Hon. G. F. Pearce, Commonwealth Minister for Defence, has officially declared that it is better for the country to allow the enemy subjects to continue their ordinary occupations.
