Reports from Rotterdam state that the Germans are preparing defensive works on a large scale, in the environs of Bruges and the coastal region. They are replacing bridges which they previously destroyed. One German submarine has been put together at Zeebrugge, on the Belgian coast, north-east of Ostend.
