ACTING-CONSUL'S FUND.
STEADY INCREASE SHOWN.
SUM OF £2602 IN HAND.
Tho fund opened by Mr. Robert Burns, Acting-Consul for Belgium, for the aid of distress in Belgium caused by the German invasion is steadily increasing, and now amounts to £2602 14s sd. * Following are the latest subscriptions received by Mr. Burns:— •
T. L. Sommers, 10s 6d: B. Sommers, 10s 6d; A Sympathiser, 10s; A Friend, 3s. A blouse-making competition in aid 06 the fund has been arranged by Mrs. Arthur M. Myers and Mrs. E. R. Bloomfield. There will he no entrance fee, but tho blouses will bo sold and the proceeds devoted to the fund. Full information can bo obtained from Mrs- Bloomfield. Victoria Avenue, Remuera, to whom exhibits are to be forwarded not later than November 19.
