OBITUARY.

FATHER THOMAS KEHOE. The death occurred on Saturday Morning Of the Rev. Father Thomas Kchoe, a nigMjHMteenMd priest of the Roman Catholic Church, at the age of 74 years. \ native of County Wexford, Ireland, the late Father Kdm had a brilliant career at Maynooth College. He arrived in Dun«dm in 1882, and six v v eMS later was transferred to Auckland. Throughout the past quarter of » century he had laboured in th& Auckland district, having beer, stationed during the greater part of the period in Te Aroha and Tuakau. His health had been failing during the past two years, and his death was not unexpected. Solemn Requim Mass will be celebrated in St Patricks Cathedral to-day, and after the service the funeral will have for the Olahuhu cemetery.

MR. THOMAS TCDEHOPE. A very old colonist. Mr. Thomas Tudehope, passed away at his residence. Kingsland Avenue, yesterday morning. The deceased was the eldest son of the late Robert Tadehope, and was 72 years of age at the time of his death. In 1842 he came to Auckland as a child .six months' old with his Barents in the shin Duchess of Argyle, Be was a carpenter by trade, and for many years was a prominent member of the Amalgamated Society of Carpenters and Joiners. In politics he was an enthusiastic supporter of. Labour, and several years ago stood "for election to Parliament in the Labour interest, being defeated by only 60 votes. In the early sixties ' the deceased served in the Maori war as a volunteer; militiaman. During his lifetime he took a Keen interest in the Old Colonists' Association, assisting in its .formation, and but missing one of/its * annual'gatherings,- .s"'%i. Mr. Tudehope's wife predeceased him ' by several years, and he leaves a grownup family of four sons and two daughters, all of whom are married with this exception of one daughter. Mr. Tudehope, a member of the Auckland City Council, is a brother of the deceased.
