The police have been adviiad that Frederick Watson, a settler at Tekaki, in the Murchison district, left Hanmer Springs last Wednesday week by way of Lake Ada and • Cannibal Gorge, for Manuwcra Springs. He was due at Tekaki 4 last : Monday but he has not arrived there yet. - , A He was riding a horse and leading an- ■;.. other, and it is feared ihe got off the. track and met with an accident. Search parties are now out.
In the Arbitration Court yesterday, Hia Honor Mr. Justice Stringer, held that an .... apprenticeship could not bo terminated by > -o the mutual consent of the apprentice «\<l . his employer. Tho Arbitration Court, said ' ~.-, His Honor, was in the position of loco parentis, and should be consulted before ■;■:; an apprenticeship could. be cancelled.
