VALUABLE BRITISH PRIZES
CONTRABAND SEIZED.

A warship brought to Queenstown the Holland-American liner Rijndam, bound from New York for Rotterdam, and carrying contraband.
The German steamer Weinervinn, bound from Hamburg, was captured and taken to Sierra Leone. She carried a cargo of nitrate, valued at £50,000.
Four largo German steamers have been seized at Hongkong.
BRITISH ON GERMAN LINER
LANDED AT MOZAMBIQUE.
(Received September 20, 7.20 p.m.) Lorenzo Marques, September 18. The Norddeutscher-Lloyd liner Zieten landed 145 British and 40 other passengers at Mozambique, in Portuguese East Africa. The Portuguese liner Beira brought them to Lorenzo Marques.
