VISCOUNT BROOME OF BROOME. Am official notice of letters patent granting new titles to Lord Kitchener was published in the London Gazette recently. The famous soldier was elevated to the rank of an earl in the last list of birthday honours. His full titles now will be Earl Kitchener of Khartoum, Viscount Broome of Broome, in the county of Kent and Baron Denton of Denton, in the county of Kent. There is a special remainder clause providing for the succession, to the title (in default of an heir) of Colonel Kitchener, his brother. Colonel H. E.
