Baildon H. B. Fraser J. fr'indlay. j. Kilgour, A. M. Bryden, Auckland; Mr. T. Bush and Colonel Collins, Wellington; Mr. M. Barnett, Christchurch; Messrs. C. Payne and R. Smith, Dunedin.

The visiting members of the council tvere warmly welcomed to Auckland by the president, who expressed the opinion that the formation of the Dominion Association has given the game considerable stimulus. The first business of the. meeting was the election of the secretary. Mr. .A. If. Bryden was unanimously appointed to the position. The question of a levy on clubs was brought forward, and it was decided to make a levy of sixpence per member on each centre to meet current expenditure. A sin.'lar amount was levied last year. It was decided that members of the com cil resident in Auckland should constitute the executive for the forthcoming year. The meeting decided to hold the annual tournament of the association at Auckland in January, and the opinion was expressed that the competitions should comprise tall rinks, pairs, and single.-; matches. The subject of bowl-testing caused much discussion. It was reported that the testingmachines were now on the way to the Dominion, and the chairman, expressed the opinion that the establishment of uniform testing would bring about a system which would prevent any player gaining an advan tag©. It was eventually decided to ask the various centres to make recommendations as to the appointment of testers, and a tentative arrangement was made for the instruction of the testers when appointed. The machines will be loaned free of charge to the centres, which will be held response for their maintenance in good order. A resolution was passed affirming the desirability of sending a Dominion team to compete at the Australasian Easter tournament- It was decided to limit the official team to six rinks, but the principle of selec tion, after much discussion, was deferred.
