CEYLON'S CONTINGENT.
CAVALRY FROM CANADA.

Lord Kitchener has accepted the offer i'f Ceylon to send a contingent to iii.' aid of the Empire, the cost of transport to be borne by Ceylon.
Canada is sending two additional cavalry regiments to the front.
Sydney advices state that two in. it: member of Parliament, both 1., lunging to the Labour Party, arc fi.-i king enrolment with the Australian expeditionary force.

Owing to the great enthusiasm displayed in the Dominion. Canada is pending 9.5,000 instead of 20,000 troops. She is also providing 10,000 troops in reserve to maintain the contingent at full strength, and 6000 ill be in readiness in another month.
