FOOTBALLER'S GALLANTRY.

SPRINT TO THE LINES.

HAIL OF BULLETS.

London, September 16.

BRITISH WELL FED. ENOUGH AND TO SPARE. London, September 18. The British soldiers are providing innumerable refugees with bully beef and tea. The troops are so well fed that they can afford to keep a large portion of the countryside alive out of their rations without going hungry. HONG WITH ROSES. HOW THE TROOPS ENTRAIN. London, September 16. The French trains are bedecked with flowers. Coronets of roses are hanging on the handles of the doors, and bouquets are suspended from the sides of the engines. Khakiclad British troops stand at every door, and at every window there are the jolly boyish faces of the Englishmen. You can just catch the lilt of " It's a long way to Tipperary" as they pass en route to join the fierce chase of the Germans across France.
