BUSINESS DONE YESTERDAY.
There were inquiries on the Stock Exchange again yesterday for standard and mining stocks. National Banks were sold at (£5 2s 6d) and more were inquired for at £5, but sellers did not quote. In other standard stocks inquiry for shares was reported at late rates. In min.ing lines AYaihis were dealt in. at 34s 6d and more could have been placed at that price, but late sellers held for 355. Talismans advanced and changed hands at from 28s to 28s 6d to 28s 9d to 295, leaving further sellers at 29s and buyers at 28s 9d. Waihi Grand Junctions were also firmer, sales taking place at (24s 6dJ and 24s 9d, while late sellers quoted 25s j.ud buyers 24s 6d. AUCKLAND STOCK EXCHANGE.
