The above map shows the progress of the Russian operations against Germany. Mlawa, where a German army has been defeated, is shown just inside the boundary of Russian Poland. Konigsberg, on the Baltic Sea, which is being besieged, is also shown. It is reported that the Germans are sending strong reinforcements by sea to Memel to attack the Russian forces which have advanced from Tilsit to Konigsberg- The map also shows the southern field of operations, where the Austrian arms are meeting with disaster. Cracow and Przcmysl are already in the hands of the Russians. The heavy black lines on the map show the railways,.
