An English stockbroker, Mr. Mcnzies, who visited his home in Liege, states that 40,000 Germans aro occupying the town. The bulk of them are bivouacked on Mont Saint Martin. The boulevards are lined with Maxim guns.
Mr. Menzies learned that the efforts of the Germans to place a bridge over the River Meuse at Vise had been frustrated twenty times by the destruction of their works by Belgian engineers.
